Welcome to  St. George Catholic Schools.

OPEN REGISTRATION.  We are now accepting applications for the 2010-2011 academic year.  Seats are available, so call us at (212) 473-3130 (Elementary School, Pre-K through grade 8) or at (212) 473-3323 (Academy grades 9-12).

St. George Schools are two private Catholic schools; the college preparatory high school and the elementary school.  Located on a residential street in the East Village of New York City, the Elementary School and Academy are a microcosm of the ethnically-diverse community they serve.

St. George Schools were founded in 1940 by the Fathers of The Order of Saint Basil the Great and a group of dedicated Americans of Ukrainian descent.  Both Saint George Ukrainian Catholic Schools are committed to academic excellence and the spiritual and social development of every student.

We enroll students of various ethnic backgrounds who are bright, curious, motivated and show strong academic and personal promise. Our curriculum adheres to strict academic guidelines for learning as prescribed by the NY State Department of Education and we are certified by the NY State Board of Regents.  St. George prepares students to be independent thinkers and productive citizens.  Our students gain a strong sense of self and citizenship, and our graduates continue on to become leaders in society.
